-Provide detailed configuration engineering of aero end compressor components including impellers, diffusers, volutes / collectors, pressure casings, and associated hardware. -Experienced in configuring and releasing aero BOM’s to product engineering.-Fully Competent in configuring existing impeller designs for customer specific applications. (Flow Cuts / Inducer Sizing, Aero Performance)-Strong capability with ANSYS, Compal, AxCent, CompAero (Cencom & Rigpac), Solidworks, Matlab, and Excel software required for aerodynamics engineering and analysis.-Completed clean sheet compressor impeller designs for use in customer projects.-Mentor and support junior engineers.-Member of API 614 6th edition task force working to develop updated standards for lubrication and compressor auxiliary systems. -Perform FEA analysis of skid structures to evaluate structural design, wind and seismic design, and modal response utilizing ANSYS Mechanical.-Perform analytical calculations for structures such as lifting lugs per ASME BTH-1.-Completed pressure vessel design for compressor casings using ASME BPVC section VIII, Div 2. -Detailed machine design and analysis such as evaluation of compressor nozzle forces and moments per NEMA SM-23 and API 617.-Experience with ANSYS CFX evaluating compressor performance as predicted by CFD and compared to meanline design codes.

-Fully competent in configuration of complex multi-stage Pinnacle compressor/gearbox units. -Strong knowledge of API 617 interally geared centrifugal compressors and associated components such as dry gas seals, hydrodynamic bearings, gears, shafts, etc. -Experience with complex Pinnacle, HMP, and API BMC Sundyne product families. -Provided a detailed design of the auxiliary systems that support the operation of centrifugal compressors and associated train.-Fully competent in all aspects of auxiliary system design and configuration (API lube oil and dry gas seal systems) -Strong experience with industry and customer specifications.-Familiar with API 614, API 617, API 610, API RP 686, API 671, and API 676 specifications along with NFPA/NEC, ASME, IEC, ANSI, AGMA, ASTM, ISA, and NACE codes and standards.-Attended API 692 task force meetings for developement of dry gas seals and sealing systems standards. -Familiar with a variety of specific customer specifications including Bechtel, Shell, Exxon Mobil, Chevron, Petronas, and Petrobras.-Completed detailed engineering calculations for sizing and selecting components.-Provided Plus 1 customer support for both internal and external customers.-Supported analysis of base structure as well as fluid dynamic analysis of components.-Structural analysis of lifting components and working knowledge of ASME BTH-1 and AISC Steel Construction Manual-Familiar with JD Edwards ERP system.
