As Co-Founder & CTO @ Aspireship, I am responsible for all technology & cyber security strategy, design and implementation. This includes writing/reviewing code, infrastructure, software architecture and managing an internal team of software engineers who create our eLearning & Hiring platform that we use to educate, assess, certify and place people for high paying careers in the SaaS industry.

Was the lead architect for PayPal’s production Google Cloud implementation. Was tasked with creating, managing and leading PayPal’s first Public Cloud Engineering team. -Led & implemented all aspects of the Google Cloud architecture, security, and governance-Designed IAM (Projects/Folders), Security and Network designs for Google Cloud and connected it with existing on-premise private cloud environments and security zones -Created an automated system using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) to create Google cloud Folders & Projects to implement proper IAM, quota, network configuration and required security controls-Led public cloud cross functional efforts training and evangelizing key teams on cloud-native approaches to application deployment, security, availability and cost optimization.

Led cloud architecture and engineering teams. Designed and built a hybrid cloud with AWS and Openstack. Developed in-house platform services for Symantec's enterprise security products with a security first mindset. -Designed and implemented the AWS/Openstack hybrid cloud architecture for Symantec Enterprise applications-Served as lead architect and developer for the Cloud Intelligence Service (CIS), a configuration management database (CMDB) that provided data-driven insights and enabled automation, provisioning, environmental consistency, security, audit through change history, environment optimization, and efficiency-Led the Resilience efforts to increase availability for Symantec Enterprise SaaS products for Symantec’s board of directors-Acted as lead architect for Event Services (Java) for the Common Cloud (SaaS) platform, used by Symantec Enterprise Security products for foundational services including request routing, event processing, rules engine, identity, inventory, licensing, and provisioning

Led the design and implementation of a next-generation data center campus and availability zone pattern for a multi-tenant private cloud. Also served as operations architect for various software systems, including an in-memory NoSQL datastore, the replatforming program, and all checkout and point of sale systems. -Led the design and implementation of the next generation data center campus and availability zone pattern for a multi-tenant private cloud at PayPal and eBay, which has been in production since 2012-Designed and implemented PayPal's production disaster recovery (DR) data center strategy-Designed and implemented global traffic management routing for the production site, allowing for the shifting of traffic between availability zones and regions in the event of a failure-Acted as operations architect for an in-memory NoSQL datastore, providing fast, linearizable data with high availability at scale-Ops architect leader for the replatforming program, an initiative to re-write the production PayPal software servicing payments to enable high availability and scalability, through the implementation of in-memory NoSQL datastores, journaling databases, and read-only replicas for RDBMS-Designed and served as operations architect for an in-house layer 7 router/proxy, replacing the site's front-end routing and providing additional security and availability through automated retry of failed requests-Acted as an architect for the checkout and point of sale systems at PayPal, overseeing all aspects of operational deployment and architecture for these platforms, which were deployed and used at retailers such as Home Depot, Radio Shack, and Babies R Us-Served as an architect for the design and governance of CMS or in-house CMDB-Additionally, wrote code for patching, machine management, data collection, firewall automation, and capacity analysis, and performed root cause analysis for significant outages-Created architectural standards & led the implementations

-Imaged Linux & Solaris systems using Kickstart and Jumpstart-Deployed applications, managed code releases, patch and firmware levels-Primary owner of Nagios & Foglight utilized for monitoring all hosts and services.-Participated in on-call rotation to troubleshoot system and application level service failures-Designed and developed an asset tracking system using Perl and MySQL-Supported hardware platforms & storage systems including SunFire 220, 240, 280, 440, and 480, Dell PowerEdge, Compaq Proliant servers & Sun StoreEdge A1000, D1000, T3's and Dell PowerVault 2205

Performed a hybrid role of a Senior Network Engineer & Systems Engineer. Traveled and installed cable modem head ends for new Cable service markets. Turned up and maintained new Internet circuits (T1, DS3, OC3, OC12). Maintained our dialup chassis and managed all aspects of Linux Redhat and Windows NT systems. -Troubleshoot & resolve core network routing (EIGRP, BGP, RIP) issues-Managed Mail Servers, Web Mail, DNS, Web Servers, and more-Managed IP Chains/IP Tables, and Access Lists.-Managed WhatsUp Gold, MRTG, RRD, and Nagios monitoring tools.-Handled IP Management allocation and new ARIN requests-Managed cable modem configuration files using Cisco Docsis Cable Modem Configurator to be handed out via TFTP-Wrote (Perl) scripts for IP Reports, Network device management, LDAP management and email troubleshooting. -Wrote a call center ticketing system (ASP), and a customized webmail system (PHP)-Participated as 24/7 On Call, for the highest level of technical escalation-Hardware: various Compaq/Dell servers, Cisco routers (VXR 7200), Cisco Cable Modem Termination Systems/Universal Broadband Routers (VXR 7200’s), Cisco Catalyst Switches (CAT OS, IOS), Cisco Content Engine 590’s

Was the most senior technical position in the company, was responsible for all Unix and Linux systems and networks for Dial Up and DSL. Performed custom development for the administration and automation of systems and network devices and handled all IT responsibilities for the office. Additionally, was responsible for opening and closing the office while attending school full-time.-Managed Linux Redhat, Solaris and BSDi systems running Apache, Sendmail, etc-Maintained all Cisco 7204 VXR routing configuration for IP & BGP as well as access list and security configuration-Developed service in PHP to add new DSL subscribers to routers-Developed service area map for customers to subscribe and be notified of outages-Assisted in IP management & utilization tracking-Developed a training manual on Cisco routers for other technicians-Monitored, Troubleshot & restored all server & network outages\
