DAX focuses on data science, analytics, and general data exploration. Engineers, data scientists, analytic developers, system architects, and business leaders are encouraged to share their experiences and present a topic that would be of interest to the local data community. Expected attendees include engineers, thought leaders, business leaders, and professionals from local government, government defense and intelligence agencies, start-up companies, large data analytic and data science companies, and local universities.

Data Works MD is the premier meetup for data enthusiasts and engineers in the Maryland area. We host monthly discussions on diverse topics related to data science, data analytics, data products, data engineering and general technologies about data.

AFCEA-CMD’s Small Business Committee facilitates programs and forums designed to assist small businesses within the greater Fort George G. Meade market. With small businesses comprising nearly 80% of AFCEA’s corporate membership, we offer several targeted networking and educational opportunities designed to enhance government and industry relationships, information gathering, situational awareness and business development skills. We also spotlight new and emerging small businesses at our Chapter’s monthly luncheons, hold small business seminars throughout the year, and work closely with the government to improve small business opportunity and competition.

At Varen Technologies, I was the technical task lead and product suite lead for a team developing several near real-time data workflow systems. I previously worked with Hadoop, Pig, and other cloud technologies to help provide data analytics that solved the customer's big data problems.

As part of Data Community DC, I helped to build a community of meetups that discussed data science, big data and data analytics.

I was honored to be able to teach a Big Data independent study and the Introduction to Big Data course as Loyola University expanded their data science and analytic offerings.

At White Cliffs Consulting, I was a member of a software development team focused on designing, developing, and maintaining a network control center that provided management for an operational distributed real-time network. I also provided network analysis support for computer network operations and SIGINT activities.

At General Dynamics, I offered technical leadership to the software development team delivering a highly dynamic software client in support of a classified government customer. I contributed strong developmental and management guidance for this effort, balancing direct customer meetings to define mission requirements with active software implementation of critical client modules and supporting tools.

At Northrop Grumman, I administered several large classified program networks operating on multiple platforms and participated in several software engineering efforts as part of a continuing intern program.
