Senior Retirement Plans Manager
CurrentOverview: Currently providing strategic retirement plan management, administration, and financial planning at one of the nation’s top international law firms. Managing over 1Billion in assets across four major plan types: Cash Balance Pension Plan401(k) Profit Sharing NQ Deferred Incentive PlanInternational Group Pension Plan (London, UK)* Calculating Retirement Benefits (Pension 401k) in compliance with plan provisions and legal requirements, and applying knowledge of Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), DOL, and Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regulations to administer benefit plans and providing plan interpretation.* Utilizing systems to calculate benefits, process distributions, forfeitures, and contributions. Consistently maintaining benefit records/documentation and answering participant questions. * Responsible for providing firm wide education to expand current plan enrollment and participation, increasing savings plan levels, retaining current participant base, and enhancing the investment knowledge of plan participants. Ongoing duties: * Conducting RFP’s and benefit surveys to ensure the firm’s financial objectives are obtained* Performing projected and year end nondiscrimination testing* Ensuring compliance with DOL and IRS requirements * Preparing Partner contributions, and assisting partners with administration of their investment/401(k) accounts* Coordinating preparation of annual financial statements, 5500 report and ERISA compliance test with plan trustees.* Providing one on one individual financial counseling to current plan participants * Organizing and conducting a broad series of group educational seminars throughout US based offices to enhance participant knowledge and understanding of investment and savings basic principles.* Managing firms Retirement Plans Committee
