I'm the IT guy they call when the other IT guy already fixed it. I enjoy chatting with AI.I officially started out in IT asset discovery. For Computer Upgrading Specialists out of Calgary under Jack Redekop. Recruited by his team directly out of college I worked for Alerta Health services.I was tasked to find all of Alberta Healths IT assets for HP and later led a team to get all the desktops and laptops and printers moved into fancy HP sssets. Got to play with Tandem, Remedy, Edis. and work in many mystery wiring closets. I later upgraded the machines in Alberta Hospital for Alberta Mental Health which led me to do more work on more internal domains at outlying health clinics like Capital Care now all AHS. After the projects ended I transitioned to support Royal Alex and University hospitals IMAC teams. Upgrading and documenting hot listed hospital machines in all many hospital locations under NexInnovations.I left for a short higher pay contract for ATCO ITek for a few months before being picked by Robert Half Technolgy to work in the Edmonton Research Park at Biomira , later Oncothyreon. Where I supported many smart people doing amazing work in cancer research. I was later discovered by Endura Paint during the Biomira transition were I spent the majority of my career designing, building and supporting the daily IT needs of a global paint manufacturer. With the help of my many friends at Telus, Terago, Shaw etc. I have worked on several large projects over the years. Integrating different companies data into Sage PFW, while rolling out new store locations etc.Navigating the transition to the Microsoft azure clouds from on premise infrastructure. Serving up all aspects of IT, basically supporting anything with buttons.
