As Assistant PWO Jason was exposed to numerous aspects of asset and facility management. He managed crane investigations and survellances, initiated a floating crane control upgrade, headed up recovery efforts during severe flooding while Acting Public Works Officer (PWO), made improvements to customer services, saved the government thousands of dollars annually by improving snow removal operations, stood up the Navy Base's first energy management program as its first energy manager, took the lead on countless improvements to the Base and much more. Jason's experiences at NSB New London have not been limited to infrastructure and facilities alone, however. Organizational management, disaster preparation, and administrative responsibilities also make up the diverse job description. Jason was additionally delegated PWO responsibilities for two outlying military sites, Mitchel Field and NSA Saratoga Springs. As the acting PWO for these sites Jason managed their public works operations and budget. Jason earned a reputation of reliability, dependability, and professionalism while stationed at NSB New London.

Al Asad, IraqJason skillfully supervised 4 construction managers and inspectors in cradle-to-grave contract execution and diligently oversaw more than $180M of difficult construction contracts in harsh conditions performed by multi-national contractors, many of which did not speak English. Jason also tirelessly mentored Iraqi contractors in improved jobsite safety and construction scheduling and management principles with observable results. Jason deftly managed as many as 22 construction projects at any given time: Averaged $36M /yr work in place (WIP) in both renovations and new construction to include a new 13000 sqft. Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) Facility and a 12000 sqft, technically sophisticated Aircraft Acoustical Enclosure (Hush House). He also conducted design and constructability reviews for numerous mulit-million dollar construction projects accomplishing design-bid-build and design-build construction contracts. Furthermore, Jason proficiently administered contract requirements; this included ensuring contract specifications were met (QA), contract modifications for unforeseen and customer requested changes, invoicing, jobsite safety inspections, and contract closeout.
