Quality Assurance functions included:Monitored and presented quality reports to team members who included production, supervisors and management on a weekly and monthly basis, information included monthly plus yearly in process and customer issues and frequency’s. Also discussed counter measures for issues that occurred the most frequently. Preformed daily quality audits. Helped develop resolutions to root cause analysis. Tested and recommended new products that would be used in production. Worked with the appointed California District of State Architecture special inspector when required. Managed customer complaints: took information from customer, researched root caused, developed resolution with cost effectiveness in mind, coordinated resolution with engineering, drafting, manufacturing and shipping departments, followed up with customer to make sure issue was resolved. Visited job sites that required a resolution to issues that were halting the progress of the project. Helped analyze issue, coordinate resolution with PorterCorp.

Worked with GM, Ford, Dana, Miller Electric Mfg Co., Tower Automotive and Caterpillar. Setup/retro-fit automotive and heavy equipment welding lines as new models were introduced to production. Optimized robotic welding cells, both cycle times and weld quality. Created robotic welding programs focusing on the GMAW process. Consulted on welding best practices. Setup and maintained weld procedures to insure weld quality. Trained team members on proper welding techniques. Worked with product design to enhance ease and repeatability for manufacturing of a specific part. Helped trouble shoot both robotic and manual welding stations when issues arouse. Worked with quality departments to set up weld testing procedures and documentation. Tested and evaluated new welding equipment for SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, SAW, RSW and Carbon Arc Gouging. Worked with Electrical Engineers to improve welding equipment. Setup and performed welding demonstration to potential customers.

Learned about and worked with LEAN practices and procedures, also worked on a team that introduced and monitored LEAN practices and procedures to manufacturing. Worked with fixture designers to improve welding conditions in robotic welding cells.
