I was hired to start up and oversee the studies run in the repeat inhalation laboratory. I have since added in vivo micronucleus studies and some non-traditional study types. I also have some experience with oral dosing studies.

 Chair a committee to select the Achievement Award recipient for that year and present the Achievement Award at the Annual Meeting Reception Serve on the Program Committee and assist the Vice President in developing program ideas for the next SOT meeting. Prepare or obtain the Specialty Section poster for posting at the Student/Post-doc mixer and throughout the annual meeting.

I was the MASOT postdoctoral representative for nearly 3 years when I was promoted to faculty. My duties during that time were to represent the post-docs in MASOT, plan the annual MASOT meeting, and represent MASOT on the larger PDA at the Society of Toxicology.

I am examining how inhaled cadmium nanoparticles affect reproduction and immunity in mice as a model for studying the potential toxic affects to women working in the nanotechnology industry.

I worked on lipidomics of the renal cortical mitochondria following different types of stress to elucidate the function of calcium-independent phosholipase A2 gamma.
