I am an experienced leader with a diverse background in business development and operations. My career has been focused on telecom, network infrastructure, and SaaS solutions. My 25 years of leadership experience across multiple organizations and business units has given me the opportunity to create and develop numerous high-performing sales organizations. Currently, I am leading a Global Public Sector organization as well as the Healthcare, Transportation, and Utilities sales teams at Zayo Group, LLC. I have had the pleasure of leading teams that span across the United States, Canada, and Europe. This experience has allowed me to build strong relationships with other leaders across most of North America and Europe. I enjoy traveling for business and pleasure, and I have lived in many different places throughout my career. I currently reside in Dallas, Texas. I believe that success happens through people. My team of 5 Sr. Managers and 30 Sr. Analysts were responsible for all aspects of operations and compliance for 70 retail locations and 200 indirect agent doors across 5 states. Myself and my team partnered with senior leadership from the sales channels to assure that all teams were exceeding performance standards on operational metrics such as employee headcount, customer experience, inventory levels, merchandising guidelines and store appearance. My team also managed compliance controls including inventory shrink, service and equipment discounting, inventory and employee security and adhering to all laws and regulations impacting the retail industry. During my time in this role my team created a people, process, point of sale (PPP) initiative that allowed our sales channels to lead the enterprise in lowest customer wait times while drastically increasing customer experience and continuing best in class sales performance. We also led the company in inventory shirk reduction by implementing a new process for receiving, displaying, storing and returning inventory. I gained my VLSS green belt during this time and inventory shrink was my focus project. This program was adopted by many surrounding regions. I was fortunate to have a great team and supportive channel partners while I was in this role. Our success in many areas got me area wide attention and I was able to move into my first director role. I was proud of this accomplishment and even more proud that one of my Sr. Managers was able to backfill me as I left this role.

    I led the National Retail channel for the Southwest region at Verizon Wireless. My team of 5 District Managers and 35 Account Managers were responsible for product sales budgets, customer experience and operational support of the sales teams in 600+ national retail stores across 5 states. My team was challenged to advance the sales and support of our smart phones, prepaid plans and connected devices in Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Target, Apple, Costco, and Sam's Club in a environment where our competitors are also offering their products. We were not permitted to compensate the sales teams in any way so we had to win their trust and support by providing a higher level of support than other wireless providers. We did this by putting structure in place around product training, side by side selling, manufactured sales events, leadership engagement, and after hours support. We were responsible for a large number of doors with a relatively small team so we created a playbook that outlined best practices that became our blue print for success. We were data driven when determining which store we would visit weekly, bi-weekly and monthly so we assured the highest ROI of our time.This team responded well to our process driven, result oriented mentality and we saw improvement in the overall results and balanced scorecard within the first quarter. We quickly gained attention for our top performing results and enterprise leading year over year results. We engaged with headquarters leadership to share best practices and impact channel strategy.I enjoyed this role because I was able to see that aligning with your partners and customers to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes is a recipe for success that can be duplicated in any partnership with the right people and mindset.

However, the number of people that we developed and the lives that we positively impacted is what I'm most proud of now. Many of my employees from that district have moved on inside Verizon to become Directors, Associate Directors, Managing Partners or operations leaders. It was a privilege to get to play a role in the career of so many future leaders that our now positively impacting our organization.
