A primarily project-based role focused on improving productivity, managing change and increasing compliance levels across the Hays UK and Ireland business with additional ongoing management of the teams responsible for ensuring adherence to the Agency Worker Regulations and General Data Protection Regulation.Key Responsibilities:• Agency Worker Regulations – Overseeing the team that manage the ongoing adherence to the regulations for the ~30,000 temporary workers• General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) - Managing the team in the UK and India that ensure all requirements are met including Unsubscribe, Right to be Forgotten and Data Subject Access Requests as well any customer and client issues.• REACH Lead – A founding member of the Hays employee network that advocates for people with disability, ill health and/or injury.Compliance Processes Overhaul ProjectA broad project to look at all the existing processes within the function and automate and/or offshore where possible whilst concurrently streamlining and managing the change with the existing UK based team.Responsibilities:• Map existing processes and design new ones• Write new standard operating procedures• Create training programmes and materials• Embed automation for additional efficiencies• Rationalise existing manual Excel reporting processes into automated interactive PowerBI Compliance Dashboards • Increase the quality of data in the systems• Manage the changes effectively with the UK compliance team to ensure sustained success of the new processes• Designed, project managed and implemented a new automated AWR system that has reduced the workload of the equivalent of 7.5 headcount across the UK business and greatly improved the client experience• Managed the wider organisational change to engage the business to ensure the widespread adoption of the new AWR Management System which was fundamentally different from the old, manual process

Key Achievements• Built and managed a greenfield team of 5 in a national Centre of Excellence (CoE) completing 4000+ probity and background checks per month for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ).• Increased team productivity by 63% through a combination of ongoing training, process streamlining and automation techniques.• Secured multiple major client accounts – one of which being the highest earning in ANZ – by demonstrating CoE robustness and efficiencies, resulting in significant new revenue to the company.• Reviewed, developed, and tested automated compliance reporting across ANZ, resulting in a reduction of 200 hours of manual work per week, whilst simultaneously increasing overall levels of compliance by 30%. Key Responsibilities● Responsible for the financial compliance of 16,000 temporary workers assignments for 500+ contracts across ANZ. ● Developing and testing of reports to extract data from existing databases. ● Reviewing contacts for financial terms and creating rate calculators for each contract for the business to use when quoting for contract clients.● Advising and educating internal stakeholders on any relevant new contracts.● Auditing all placements for the correct application of statutory costs such as payroll tax and workers compensation.● Understanding and applying State workers compensation legislation and allocating all temporary jobs a workers compensation industry code accordingly (1000+ new placements per week).
