About Jason Burchell
From the age of six… more like four, it was clear that I had a natural affinity for mechanics and analytical thinking. I was the kid who would take apart VCRs and washing machines to understand their mechanics, always managing to piece them back together—eventually. This early tinkering laid the foundation for my later work on car and motorcycle engines, long before I was even legally allowed to drive.Today, those early interests have evolved into a career spanning more than two decades as an ASE Certified Driveability Technician. Although I’ve earned other ASE certifications, diagnostics remains my true passion. My innate need for challenge and accumulated experience led me to explore fields beyond anything I had considered before. I even completed nursing school but I found that my high levels of empathy made it emotionally difficult to be around suffering, prompting a career shift away from healthcare.I redirected my focus towards mechanical engineering and am now expanding my expertise into computer and electrical engineering. Being a lifelong learner, my enthusiasm for mathematics, physics and all things scientific knows no bounds.My work ethic has remained steadfast throughout my diverse career. Starting at a fuel station at 15, I’ve held a multitude of roles, from the restaurant industry to assistant management positions, all while pursuing my academic ambitions.I’ve always strived for excellence, both professionally and personally, while maintaining a healthy balance between the two. This philosophy has been invaluable, serving me well in roles that demand technical skill, as well as those requiring outstanding customer service and interpersonal abilities.Outside of work and study, I find peace and rejuvenation in nature. Probably my biggest accomplishment has been to keep the smartest person I’ve known (my Wife) entertained and happy for 12 years.
