Launched the FHFA Office of Financial Technology, working with over 100 market participants, advocacy groups, regulators and investors on public private partnerships such as the Velocity Tech Sprint to harness responsible innovation as a means of creating a more modern and inclusive mortgage approval process. Lead 30 staff responsible for overseeing Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (GSEs), working closely with GSE executives and Board of Directors to reduce their systemic risk, build capital and liquidity, maintain sound governance and controls over third party technology service providers, fintechs and nonbanks to ensure the Conservatorships are managed in a manner that protects the US taxpayer. Maintain the confidence of investors in the stability of the $7 trillion Uniform Mortgage-Backed Securities (UMBS) program by ensuring consistency in prepayment levels between the Enterprises.

Developed the FDIC’s Interest Rate Risk program, evaluated deposit stability and funding assumptions, reciprocal deposit programs, post crisis de novo banking requirements, securities valuations, capital relief structures, capital plans and third party risk management during a 27 year career.
