Balancing pragmatism with idealism, I’m a problem solver, communicator, and social worker turned researcher and consultant. McKinsey trained in lean management principles and consulting techniques, I lead higher education research administration projects to evaluate processes and develop and implement technical solutions to identified administrative challenges. I firmly believe that establishing trust through authentic communication and cultivating strong relationships is key to ensuring sustained success in any effort. From evaluating educational diversity in US law schools and HIV/AIDS programs in Africa, to reducing youth access to tobacco and providing psychotherapy to clients in crisis and struggling with addiction, my career has been replete with a variety of experiences culminating into a complete set of research, evaluation, technical, and management skills with a sharpened ability to see the forest through the trees. Making the world a better and more equitable place is what motivates me...that and music, travel, and coffee.
