•Develop and execute an operational plan to achieve the goals and objectives of the Institute, including the marketing, sales and promotion of programs and services•Oversee and execute the efficient and effective day-to-day operation of the Institute•Project manager for all staff activities•Develop and execute active and broad participation by volunteers in all areas of work•Make recommendations to the ED and Board regarding the future growth and development of the Institute, and its finances•Maintain and run facilities; including retail space •Establish sound working relationships and cooperative arrangements with major donors, volunteers, community groups and organizations•Deepen and refine all aspects of communications—from web presence to external relations with the goal of creating a stronger brand•Help recruit, organize and manage all personnel, both paid staff and volunteers•Create, maintain and updates organizational work flow chart, job manual and other organizational manuals/ handbooks including the employee handbook for efficient work flow•Handle insurances, business licenses, usage permits, security protocol•Responsible for developing and maintaining sound financial practices, in coordination with the Institute’s outside accountant•Recommend a yearly budget for Board approval, work with the staff, the Finance Committee, and the Board in preparing a budget•Prudently manage the Institute’s resources within budget guidelines according to current laws and regulations, and work with the ED and Board to put in place a three-year budget plan•Work closely with Executive Director to establish quarterly goals and ensure SAI’s mission, vision, and education philosophy is realized•Coordinate execution of tasks with team members/participants and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work•Create and implement protocols for staff performance/review, and make recommendations

Oversee day-to-day operations of the museum and manage all issues related to facility and guest services; responsible for developing and supporting long and short term strategic direction Develop, implement and update operational guidelines, policies and procedures to include: guest and employee safety, building security, admissions and ticketing, telephone inquiries, daily operations, food and beverage, and cleaning, maintenance and repair of building and exhibitsDraft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes for two departments; participate in organization’s budget processSuccessfully plan, execute and finalize all activities regarding Pretend City’s child development initiative – Good To Go From Head To Toe!Responsibly manage multi-million dollar grant by tracking milestones and deliverables and reporting progress to the Children & Families CommissionDevelop parent-friendly materials to promote healthy child development Research, plan and execute community outreach programs and public eventsBuild collaborative community partnerships vital to the success of the museum Hire, train and support staff; mentor and motivate team members to take positive action and accountability for assigned workProactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise plans to address issuesContribute to marketing strategies, including print and social mediaMaintain a safe working environment by monitoring areas of responsibility to ensure compliance with all OSHA, State and Federal regulations Ensure institution’s mission, vision and education philosophy are realized
