    Journal Media Group was acquired by Gannett in 2016.------------------------------------------------------------I served on a corporate team that specialized in newspaper advertising business system implementation. The advertising system for a newspaper company is responsible for the booking, creation and billing of digital and print advertising. The system I implemented processed approximately $450 million in advertising revenue in 2015.We traveled to our various business units across the country performing data discovery to see how they used their current business system. We took their current business practices, and recommended business practices from corporate and configured their new system accordingly. We performed data extractions from the old system and converted and imported the data into the new system. We conducted extensive training sessions with end users on how to use the new system and how to achieve their reporting needs. After go-live, we provided support to the business unit on-site and remotely.I was the subject matter expert on classified advertising data entry and page layout using Adobe Indesign.I was the liaison to create XML web feeds to interface advertising data to different web vendors, such as Monster, AfterCollege, Zillow, CityFeet, Legacy and more.I wrote reports and data extracts using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and Microsoft Access.Performed application security duties, including user management and auditing of security roles in support of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.I was able to balance multiple system implementations at once, as each business unit would be in a different phase of implementation simultaneously.I worked extensively with our advertising system vendor to communicate software development changes as needed to suit our business needs.
