I'm leading the Platform Engineering group including Cloud Enablement (public cloud infrastructure, cloud-native services), Compute (distributed compute, container orchestration), Storage (foundational/objects storage, time series storage, databases and data warehouse), and Platform Services Engineering teams.The team is responsible for Two Sigma's distributed compute and storage platform, as well as data access, job scheduler, and cloud infrastructure integration strategy. We are building highly scalable & elastic compute environments (millions of cores), and optimized structured and unstructured storage/database systems (hundreds of PBs) in the hybrid-cloud environment. We are working closely with modeling and engineering teams across data, research, and production trading.
