Jason Christou Email and Phone Number

Jason Christou is a creator/writer/director across film, TV, online, interactive and games. He tells stories infused by his Greek-Cypriot and Austrian/Slovenian background. He is a screenwriting graduate of RMIT and a writing/directing graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts. As a screenwriter, in 2020 Jason was a finalist in Francis Ford Coppola’s American Zoetrope Screenplay Contest for A CITIZEN which in 2019 also made The Black List and Warner Bros’ “Aussie List”. In 2018 Jason was a writer, script producer & script editor on series four of ABC/NBCU/Matchbox Pictures series NOWHERE BOYS and he’s been a finalist and shortlisted for three Sundance Screenwriters Labs with feature projects since optioned by Happening Films, and US-based Zero Gravity (OZARK). As a filmmaker, in addition to short films screened at festivals worldwide including Palm Springs, Jason has honed his directing skills through a VicScreen Director Placement on AMC/Sony series PREACHER (2019) and Director’s Attachment on feature NOWHERE BOYS: BOOK OF SHADOWS (2016). He is currently creator/writer/director on the Screen Australia supported short-form comedy series ARGUMENTS WITH MY MUM. Jason is a 2022 Creators Fund recipient and has been selected to this year’s AFTRS National Documentary Talent Camp. He also works as an acting, writing & directing teacher at The Australian Film and Television Academy (TAFTA).
