As the Controller of Executive Cabinetry, LLC, I was responsible for the accounting operation of the company. I maintained a documented system of accounting policies and procedures that lead to the preparation of timely and accurate monthly financial statements. I also worked with internal and external customers to maintain a system of controls over the company’s accounting transactions.

As an Audit Assistant, I provide support for the services outlined in the Internal Audit Services (IAS) Audit Plan approved by the Audit Committee of ScanSource, Inc. As an ERP Subject Matter Expert, I provided expertise in the existing business processes of the Reseller Financial Services (“RFS”) department to assist in the successful configuration, processing, and implementation of SAP software modules for RFS. I also acted as a liaise between the user community and project team and act as a champion for specific knowledge of the new ERP system.

As a Financial Account Analyst, I was responsible for analyzing existing customers’ business models and financial capacity for the approval, update, or recommendation of a trade credit limit in order to maximize the customer’s purchasing power and ScanSource, Inc.’s revenue opportunities. I worked with internal and external customers to effectively manage an Accounts Receivable portfolio by analyzing past due balances, determining actions for prompt resolution, and ensuing prompt release of orders referred to the Reseller Financial Services department.

As the Operations Specialist, I was accountable for scheduled operational activities within Reseller Financial Services (“RFS”) and the development, enhancement, and maintenance of those activities for the operational efficiency of RFS. The operational activities were instrumental to the RFS team and included the development of accurate and timely account portfolio reporting, coordination of RFS forms for approval, data extraction and manipulation for management and reporting purposes, and enrichment of business processes.In addition, I analyzed existing customers’ business models and financial capacity for the approval, update, or recommendation of a trade credit limit in order to maximize the customer’s purchasing power and ScanSource, Inc.’s revenue opportunities.

From September 2006 to May 2012, I was the General Manager & Accountant for Outman Cigars & Martini Bar located in Greenville, SC. My responsibilities included:- Tracking sales on a daily basis to ensure sales are directed to the proper department. This is crucial to ensure proper taxes are paid to both federal and state entities.- Tracking purchases and expenses on a monthly basis in order to prepare schedules which are used for the preparation of financial statements.- Tracking payroll on a weekly basis to ensure timely payment for employees and taxes.- Tracking inventory and ordering products in order to maintain adequate inventory levels.- Preparing an employee schedule on a weekly basis for two store locations.- Maintaining a comfortable atmosphere to exceed the expectations of guests.- Managing the company’s social media sites including Facebook and Twitter.

With Bi-Lo, I was responsible for conducting cash drawer audits, handling store closing procedures as an assistant book-keeper, and maintaining customer relationships.
