Hoshin Kanri approach to annual project planning ensures target alignment and motivates teams. 09/2012 - 06/2014: Plant Manager, Interior Division, Commercial Vehicles & Aftermarket Business Unit, Jinan, P.R. China. Location general manager for manufacture of instrument clusters and electronic controllers for heavy duty trucks, commercial vehicles, special vehicles (construction, agriculture, etc) and motorcycles. Responsible for operational and financial results of manufacturing facility and all functions within plant. Multiple NPL (new product launches) annually. Focus is on continuous improvement of KPIs and further developing team members and corporate culture in remote locations with international teams. Implemented daily Gemba, installed cross-functional cost reduction team, and revamped employee suggestions system.

01/2011: Director of Production, Powertrain Division, Engine Systems Business Unit, Amata City, Thailand. Responsible for all machining operations, tool room management, and assembly and testing operations. Major capacity expansion and rampup completed in 2011. Implemented OEE (overall equipment effectiveness) as main KPI for production areas; consolidated tool room operations for continuous improvement in spare parts spending and inventory management; launched TPM (total productive maintenance) in production areas. 01/2010: Manager, Assembly and Test, Powertrain Division, Engine Systems Business Unit, Amata City, Thailand. Led team of supervisors and engineers in managing highly complex manual and semi-automated assembly and testing equipment for high pressure diesel fuel injection systems. Adapted shift patterns to ensure maximum equipment utilization and managed preliminary ramp-up of production volumes for major international customers. 10/2008 - 01/2010: Manager, Mechanical Manufacturing, Powertrain Division, Engine Systems Business Unit, Amata City, Thailand. Ensured the accuracy of working instructions, implemented training plans, and prepared plant for mechanical production.

Directed warranty return center and customer quality reviews. Monthly direct interface with customer. Ensured compliance with TS 16949 automotive quality standard and ensured customer satisfaction through outstanding quality systems in plant. High concentration on audit activities, including dock audits, benchmark audits for measurement systems, process control audits, and layered process audit system. 08/2002- 10/2005: Quality Engineer & Warranty Return Supervisor, Powertrain Division, Engine Systems Business Unit, Blythewood, South Carolina, USA. Process quality engineer for machining area. Responsible for sourcing & qualifying measurement systems, process control documentation, and process quality. Worked in precision match honing process for diesel fuel injection components. Increased skills with experience in aqueous & solvent cleaning systems & electrochemical deburring. Visited suppliers for audits & process improvements. Participated in implementation of 5S.
