Mr. Cuomo is a senior analyst covering a diversified portfolio of investment grade and high yield credits in e-commerce, media, and telecommunications with more than $180 billion in rated debt. He also holds various leadership roles including credit committee rating chair, financial adequacy committee member, and the acting technology ambassador for the Corporate Finance Group.Jason has delivered data, research, analytics and advice to the capital markets for more than 30 years. He is an expert in corporate credit and leveraged finance transactions and a thought leader and author of more than 300 publications. His work has influenced global change with views on sector outlooks, emerging credit trends, analytic methodologies, and complex accounting topics.He is a former product owner and current delegate of critical analytic tools and process, models and applications, and the former Co-Head of initiatives to identify, evaluate, and adopt enabling technologies. In this capacity, Jason has managed and directed large teams in corporate projects to develop artificial intelligence and other innovative solutions to address critical business problems. He also helps optimize technology budgets to improve the efficiency of the firm's analytic tools and resources.Mr. Cuomo is frequently quoted in the media and has been a featured guest at industry events and a keynote speaker. He has advanced the quality of financial information for the investment community in collaboration with standard-setters, academics and other influential organization as a former FASB board observer and current long-time member of the CAQ's regulations committee that meets regularly with the SEC to improve the transparency and clarity of current and future promulgations.Prior to joining Moody's, Mr. Cuomo was at EY in the Transaction Advisory Services Group providing deal support to private equity firms on M&A. Earlier, Mr. Cuomo worked on the buy-side performing corporate development and investment activities at a wealthy family office investing private capital in middle market, high-tech industrial leveraged buy-outs and very early-stage ventures. Mr. Cuomo started his career as a CPA earning the distinction working as an internal auditor at a regional bank and later as a financial auditor and advisor in special situations for the financial services industry at several top-ranked international accounting firms. Jason resides in Northern New Jersey with his wife and is a proud father of his three children - an Ivy league student, a model and actress, and a concert pianist.
