After almost 20 years with PwC, we built a small specalised team over 4 years providing external CFO & advisory services to a number of privately owned businesses ranging from startups through to 3rd generation family businesses. I continued to act as an advisor to the Standard Business Reporting Program through this period.

Before branching out into my own business advisory company, Daniels & Co, I headed up PwC's Private Clients practice in Queensland and was part of PwC's Information and Technology Management team. Some of my notable achievements at PwC include the development of MyPwC.com - the first client portal for managing client affairs released by PwC worldwide and the international release of PwC's first iPad app. I led a team for the development and implementation of ValueFinancials, PwC's best practice financial statement preparation tool. The extremely profitable tool was used by more than 250 corporate clients including National Australia Bank, BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto and several state and federal govt agencies for the preparation of audited financial statements, until its sale to Thomson Reuters in 2012. During this time, I also acted as an advisor to the Standard Business Reporting Program (SBR) especially focussed on how SBR could reduce regulatory burden to SME's & privately owned businesses.
