I was responsible for guest services overnight. This includes checking guests in and out, assisting guests in finding local restaurants and entertainment, taking and solving guest complaints, and setting up breakfast in the morning. As the only one on staff overnight, I was expected to work independently and communicate with other shifts via the Quore system and in-person contact during shift-changes.

I built and wired various electronic panels and enclosures for companies like John Deere, Kone, and Green Mountain. Each project had its own inventory and schematics, and were allotted a specific amount of time tailored to the size of the project, from one hour to nearly two hundred, for larger, team projects.The average project could include cutting into metal enclosures with jig saws, laser cutters, or drills, and I built panels with a combination of drilling and tapping holes, and using self tapping screws, usually with the use of a power drill. Wiring was done manually, and to customer specs. Often, I was tasked with soldering wires, or crimping fasteners.Upon completion of the projects, I would work with Quality Control to insure that projects were error-free before we sent them off to customers, which could include testing and programming PLCs.Projects required the ability to work alone or within small groups, and the ability to recognize errors in prints and bring them to the attention of engineering and the customer.

In this position my primary responsibility was assisting the instructor in lab periods. This involved helping students troubleshoot their electronics projects, and answering questions related to the material. Outside of that, I proctored exams, maintained inventory in the lab and ordered new electrical components and office supplies for all instructors, and repaired malfunctioning lab equipment, such as soldering irons, electrical trainers and multimeters. I also built and tested various circuits that would be used in class later, and, once those circuits were approved, I built clean, easy to understand examples to be presented to any student that might have questions.
