Senior systems admin for the next gen OPIR ground control developer. Deployed and currently maintain Open Stack, Open Shift, and Red Hat client and server infrastructure. Working with Dell and Cisco equipment. Primarily care taker of our disconnected cloud (which has it's own unique challenges) and all the associated services that enable it.Not DevOps (I troubleshoot stuff they break), not just systems administration, I help to provide the entire environment for developers and DevOps to operate from.

In my time at Ticom Geomatics, I have initiated the following:- Set up, manage and maintain Juniper SSG firewall / IPSec VPN.- Set up, manage, and maintain Juniper MAG series SSL VPN device and clients.- Set up, manage, and maintain wireless metro network (point to point over four facilities).- Migrated to standardized Linux distro, unifying the client installation base from multiple vendors to 64bit RedHat clients, with RedHat and CentOS servers.- Deployed a RedHat satellite server; manage and maintain the server for client and server deployment and updates.- Migrated mail from sendmail / postfix to Exchange 2003, and Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010- Spec'd and deployed multiple customer and internal applications from Atlassian (Jira, Confluence, Crowd SSO, and Fisheye all on Linux via reverse SSL proxy)- Set up large storage for multiple client types using Samba / CIFS and large DAS boxes.- Installed, currently manage Aruba campus Wifi across two disparate campus locations.- Installed, manage, maintain web server, FTP server, other client DMZ servers.- Created deployment and installation procedures, mail policy, security policy, and myriad other policies and procedures for the department and the company.- Supporting migration between major RedHat revisions.- Desktop support for Windows and Linux systems.- Remote connectivity support for numerous projects using VPN, 3g, and metro wifi.- SAN connectivity (more experienced with iSCSI than FC-SAN).- Work providing support and solutions within the constraints of DoDIIS-based installations.- Deployed Juniper Pulse Secure Gateway for SSL VPN connectivity.- And much more.

Over the road network engineer and technician, we provided IT-type support for small and medium businesses, sort of IT for hire. Our clients included small shops, real estate offices, law offices, and small manufacturing facilities. I was responsible for everything from setup / install to design / requirements / capacity planning of networks and facilities. Clients included Nelles-Jamesbury, Keurig, 3Com, Boston Beer Company, and EMC.
