Over the past year, I have been deeply involved in bringing AI solutions to researchers and users at PNNL. My role has centered around rapidly identifying, testing, and implementing best-in-class AI tools to provide state-of-the-art capabilities.One of my key achievements is developing and deploying an AI chat application, which has become one of the most widely used tools across PNNL. Within a year, I led three major releases of this application, ensuring it continually met user needs and expanded its functionality. In addition to this, I've released three other AI-powered applications: one for research assistance, one for coding support, and another for managed AI API access.Most of this work was done with a small, focused team consisting of myself and a project manager, with occasional support from frontend developers and interns. Now, as the technical lead of an expanding team, we've added a permanent development resource and continue to grow our capacity.The impact of these initiatives extends beyond PNNL, sparking interest across other FFRDCs and the broader federal government.

I engage with research scientists, project managers, application developers and owners, and other IT architects and engineers and architect tailored solutions primarily in the public cloud to meet their unique needs.My specialty and passion is in automating cloud solutions and tools and using my extensive background in on-prem IT infrastructure to enable hybrid architectures, bridging on-prem and cloud architecture.I have been called upon frequently for designing and implementing cloud security solutions and tools. I have advanced experience with Amazon Web Services and Azure as well as developing knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and a personal interest in the improvements that DevOps practices can bring to an organization.

In addition to my time interacting with people in a variety of situations and providing volunteer service to needy individuals and charitable organizations I also had the opportunity to provide IT services for some amazing people in the head office. I created a database driven system that managed referrals, finances, automobiles and volunteer information for the 500 volunteers serving in the southern part of England. I also made some great friends and worked long days with sore fingers rewiring the ethernet network. Some of my fondest memories were spent in the head office assisting some the wonderful volunteer couples there with their network and computer systems.

I produced web based courseware for use in college level courses for the Courseware Development Initiative in the College of Fine arts and Communication.
