After leaving EnergyAustralia in 2009 Jason formed One Zero One to help organisations improve their products, services and operations with digital and emerging technologies such as online and mobile. Experience includes:• Over 14 months, assisting Westpac develop their replacement, strategic Internet Banking platform (Online Transformation Program): o Development of the digital strategy to introduce innovative and effective customer conversion and fulfilment (origination) for financial products in the online platform. o Design and oversight of the Release 2 Architecture for the Internet Banking Platform. o Solving a number of issues related to safely and efficiently migrating customers from the old platform to the new.• Over 4 months, providing quality assurance to National Australia Bank (NAB) for their Next Generation (NextGen) financial lending service by assessing the completeness of the business architecture (process, teams, technology)• Development and release of an online marketplace for the hyper-local redistribution of second hand goods (furcle.com).• Development of a mobile-based service to allow retailers to re-engineer their retail experience by removing the Till from the sales process (pre-release).• Development of a mobile-based marketplace for surplus taxi or hire car bookings (pre-release).• Providing education and advice to a number of smaller businesses in online strategy, using cloud services and social media. As a business owner, Jason is also responsible for business development and operations.

At conferences, concerts, festivals, and in pop-up stores and during busy sales periods, long queues mean many customers simply give up rather than line up and wait to pay at the till using their credit card. Tillless (www.tillless.com) allows shoppers to scan and buy goods, and merchants to sell directly from their personal smartphones. Tillless means shorter queues, more satisfied shoppers and increased revenue for retailers from customers who would have otherwise walked away. With my co-founder, I am responsible for product design, development, technology architecture, as well business development and growth.

As a Senior Architect at EnergyAustralia Jason performed strategic planning, architecture development and business engagement functions. Experience includes:• Identifying the need and building the multi-million dollar business case for the implementation of an organisation-wide information security management framework (ISO 27001/17799).• Initiating and chairing the Enterprise IT Security Forum and facilitating the subsequent executive management IT Security Steering Committee.• Developing strategy and architecture for a cloud-based Human Resources management service.• Co-developing the strategy for a multi-million dollar data centre consolidation program.• Co-developing the mobile computing strategy and architecture for field staff.• Developing the data centre program security architecture.• Development and implementation of a technology risk management framework.• Development and implementation of Information Security policies.• Managed a number of tender and vendor selection activities.• Contributing member of the team responsible for the development of the architecture practice and architecture governance processes.

As a Manager for KPMG’s IT Advisory practice, Jason had both business development and delivery responsibilities, consulting for a range of blue-chip organisations. Experience includes:• Managing engagements of varying sizes with strategic clients (time, budget, people, scheduling, quality).• National team leader role for IT Security Architecture offerings. This included developing the supporting team, knowledge, skills and coordinating business development activities.• Delivering on new business development targets.• Performance management and mentoring of junior staff.

Experience includes:• Developed and successfully implemented IT infrastructure change control procedures on time and budget for cvMail.• Completed business concept feasibility study for a model to deliver managed computing facilities to Small and Medium Enterprises (SME’s). This included performing cost analysis, market research and concept refinement.

As a Senior Adviser for KPMG’s IT Advisory practice, Jason had both business development and delivery responsibilities. Experience includes:• Promoted twice within 12 months.• Successfully delivered the Australia Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) Internet banking security review for a premium Australian financial services institute. The review was delivered on time and on budget in the face of a one-third budget cut mid-engagement. Commended for the timely delivery and the quality of the deliverable from senior KPMG staff and APRA.• One of two senior members of information security team that delivered two and half times the budget from the prior year.• Conducted numerous security and technical vulnerability assessments, policy development and reviews.• Performance management and mentoring of junior staff.

Experience includes:• Managed and successfully delivered a software development project on time to provide seamless access to archived Outlook data for Crane Group.• Managed the development of detailed server build/configuration instructions including custom security builds for cvMail.

Travelled throughout the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, Europe and South America.

CLS Services was a start up funded by 20 or more of the major banks around the world to reduce the risk of foreign exchange (FX) through real-time settlement. Experience includes:• Design and successful introduction of network topology changes for improved resilience, scalability and security meeting the allocated project critical path deadlines.• Design and successful introduction of improved logical network security measures including firewalls and intrusion detection systems by the projected delivery date.• Identification of the opportunity and development of a new design framework providing improved application service quality, security and streamlined delivery timeframes.• Planning and successfully installing the “critical path” core test and production environments on time.• Designing highly available solutions for the key business applications through local resilience and the design of a disaster recovery site.• Preparation, documentation and handover of CLS bank systems and network to production support.

Travelled throughout Europe.

CLS Services, the foreign exchange settlement service. Experience includes:• Developing standard build images to reduce PC build times and configuration variation.• Installation of infrastructure required for all desktop systems at disaster recovery office.• Completion of reorganisation of data and network patching within server room.• Recognition of achievements and performance, promoted to the CLS Bank Systems Administrator.

First line support call centre. Experience includes:• Recognition for consistently resolving the highest number of first line support issues.

Lions Eye Institute / TMT were researching and developing some of the first laser surgery devices for vision correction. Experience includes:• Design and development of a micro-controller with an industrial control bus for improving control and functionality of the LASER units (Honours project).• Development of embedded software libraries for micro controller (Honours project).• Completion of documentation of Quality Assurance procedures for approval by the Federal Drug Authority (FDA).
