I love what I do! I am an MBA graduate with an MCSA SQL Server Microsoft certification. I have been a SQL Server Database Administrator for over 16 years and have been a SQL developer for over 20 years. My highest motivation is to provide the most efficient, long term, solid solutions as possible. I pride myself on my quality of work and am a huge proponent of creating and promoting best practices. If someone cannot provide a quality product, then customers stop coming to you for solutions. Over the years, I have:- Architected entire SQL Server database instances using various replication strategies to achieve the highest level of business continuity as possible. - Built solid database back up and recovery plans that others have used as templates for other systems. This would include full, transaction and differential backups with Index reorgs/rebuilds and database consistency checks. - Created all manner of data extracts for SSIS packages, Reporting Services reports, external batch file process and other business intelligence systems that retrieve data. - Work heavily in BIDS (SSIS) building packages using both conventional and BIML coding methods. - Utilize Team Foundation for source code control as well as Agile project management. - Never had a single instance of data loss.Along with working with and maintaining database systems, I have also managed several projects to upgrade software systems. This would range anywhere from simple single server systems to complex multi-server systems. - I enjoy collaborating with colleagues to see a project through to implementation. - I also work closely with my stakeholders to ensure their needs are consistently met. - I am easily adaptable and can pretty much hit the ground running with little supervision. - I enjoy working with people who like to share ideas and learn from each other’s experiences.
