Built and led a national consulting practice of 20 Systems Engineers/Consultants specializing in backup and recovery technologies (Tivoli Storage Manager, Veritas Netback up and Legato Networked) for a $1 billion computer reseller/distributor of IBM and Compaq products and software. Responsibilities included sales and pre-sales support, service/offering design, RFP responses, personnel and client engagement management.• Led a RFP response team in developing a proposal that resulted in a $12.5 million contract for a new storage infrastructure for the Health Ministry of Canada. Project-managed the redesign of the storage infrastructure and achieved a $10 million annual savings for the organization.• Increased the service attachment rate from 20% to 40% and reduced the return rate from 10% to less than 3% by developing a new packaged service strategy.

Worked in the Strategic Outsourcing Group of IBM Global Services (accounting for 40% of IBM’s total revenue of $80 billion) in a business segment focused on petroleum accounts. Was assigned to the Texaco account with responsibility for leading project teams, an on-site UNIX Systems Administration team, and a worldwide backup and recovery operational team of six systems administrators and developers. Directed matrix teams of up to 30 people. Received the Chairman’s Award.

Worked in the Intelligence Security Command of the Army focused on electronic warfare and cyber security with most assignments being under the direction of the National Security Agency (NSA). Trained as a Czech, Slovak and Spanish Linguist, worked and supervised Hi-tech Data Centers, and managed/trained other agents to conduct electronic warfare operations to extract data from targets via voice signals and computer signals. Supervised various operations teams from ranging from 30 specialized workers to 300 personnel.
