Jason White is an economic development veteran with over 20 years of professional leadership experience working for public/private nonprofit organizations. White is the Vice President of Business Services at Greater Dubuque Development. White was the President/CEO of the Greater Oshkosh Economic Development Corporation from 2015-2021. White was the organization's founding CEO, guiding an inaugural multi-year, multi-million-dollar campaign, while also hiring quality staff and creating/executing a strategic plan. Jason's chief role was to educate stakeholders about the value of a private-public economic development corporation. White’s efforts led to Oshkosh Corporation selecting Oshkosh to build a Global Headquarters, resulted in the construction of a new sports arena to serve as the flagship home of the Wisconsin Herd NBA G-League team, and launching several business finance funds to assist startups, second stage companies, and COVID-impacted businesses. White also worked to create Winnebago Catch-A-Ride, a ride program involving volunteers to take people with no means of transportation to (and from) work. White was formerly the Executive Director of the Warren County Economic Development Corp (WCEDC). White led WCEDC and Warren County to adopt changes in the countywide economic development structure. White’s charge was to restructure/realign the organization’s staff, mission, public outreach, and plan of work. From 2006-2011, White directed the Midwest Partnership Development Corporation, a four-county economic development group in west central Iowa. In addition to helping facilitate a number of company expansions in the region, White turned around the group's financial conditions. Midwest Partnership was the first recipient of the "Silver Shovel" award, an honor given by Iowa Area Development Group to an outstanding statewide economic development partner.White previously served as Executive Director of the Appanoose Economic Development Corporation in south central Iowa. The Ottumwa Courier featured White as one of several “Agents of Change” in the southern Iowa region. White was named to the Business Record's "Forty Under 40" Class.White has held political positions in the Iowa House of Representatives, Iowa Senate, and as a campaign consultant. White was also a redevelopment specialist for the City of Coralville. White is a native to Dubuque County, growing up near Worthington, graduating from Beckman Catholic High School, Loras College, and the University of Iowa, and currently resides in Dyersville with his family.
