In this role, I served three different customer groups with different job functions, as described below.----Internal Microsoft customers:• Assess project technical designs and implementations for solution teams and product groups across Microsoft, comparing against Microsoft corporate security standards and controls and advise customers on how to modify solutions to meet security requirements or mitigate risks to Microsoft’s technical security or corporate reputation• Big wins: provided key security guidance and architectural input on how Microsoft can securely implement connections between Microsoft’s corporate network and Microsoft Azure that guided Microsoft IT’s final implementation; provided review and guidance for the same between Microsoft’s corporate network and Office 365 properties• Actively participate in triage process for requests from various groups across Microsoft to the Microsoft IT Information Security and Risk Management portal to determine the best service or work stream to aid the customer in achieving desired results• Manage and mentor a staff augmentation contractor resource who helps and performs internal risk assessments for customer requests (as described above)----External Microsoft customers:• Conduct Active Directory Security Assessments—a holistic assessment of Active Directory configurations with an eye on security impact from both technical and non-technical viewpoints—for Microsoft customers, primarily Fortune 500 enterprises----Microsoft suppliers:• Conduct enhanced assessments based on the ISO 27000 and ISO 27001 standards to gain an insight into perspective Microsoft supplier security posture and practices in order to remediate perceived deficiencies that would pose a risk to Microsoft data or security practices
