- Plan and coordinate the employment and integration of multiple support assets, such as human capital, artillery, naval gunfire and aviation into numerous ground maneuver and assault support operation exercises. - To ensure proper implementation, I review requests for gunfire, provide clearance for fire support requests ensuring precise timing in accordance to regulations/laws and avoid all timing conflicts, ensuring accountability, maintenance and operation of all equipment assigned to the divisions. - Developed and implemented a robust, comprehensive, and integrated training plan for the Batallion's Fire Section and was a frequent participant in planning conferences for battalion level fire support exercises.

- Developed and executed a training plan to train the Afghan National Army (ANA) infantry branch school mortar instructor cadre on the M224 60mm mortar system use and employment in conjunction with the ANA fielding of the M224. - Selected to spearhead a pioneering tactical course as part of a Coalition effort to develop a foreign-led (Afghan) train-the-trainer program for Special Operations and Special Forces. Implementation and instruction led to a sustainable program for foreign security forces to stand independent after Coalition Forces departed. My daily interactions with foreign leadership left positive lasting impacts that led to my performance award by Executive Leadership (a 3-star General). - Mentored and advised the ANASOC (ANA Special Operations Command) School of Excellence Mortar Cadre for two six-week long mortar classes and three aiming circle classes. Directly collaborated with a civilian contractor and Afghan Commando Instructors, to facilitate the Afghan Instructors ability to instruct and run courses on their own with very little interaction from Coalition Forces. - Mentored and advised the ANASOC Division Fire Support Officer, a Special Forces Colonel, in day to day operations serving as the action officer for over ten General Officer visits to Camp Morehead, to include the Commander ISAF and Deputy Supreme Allied Commander NATO. This included developing and executing a security plan involving different commands and countries.- Coordinated with the United States Air Force and Canadian Special Operation Forces to develop a program of instruction to ensure a sustainable, Afghan-led, Afghan-instructed Advanced Tactical Aircraft Controller (ATAC) program. - Served as the ANASOAG Liaison for the ANASOC fielding of the Mobile Strike Fighting Vehicle (MSFV). I worked directly with ANASOC leadership to plan the fielding and training of the MSFVs for ANASOC.

- Led, mentored, supervised and developed 120 Marines and 3 Sailors in the completion of their annual training, medical and dental readiness, and other mandated requirements while organizing Consolidated Memorandum Receipt (CMR) inventory for the Battery's armory and equipment, properly accounting for $90,000,000 and 500 pieces of serialized equipment.- Expertly led Battery C in the training and equipping of the Expeditionary Fire Support System (EFSS), a brand new fire support system in the Marine Corps and the first unit in the 3rd Marine Division to field this weapon system. After successful implementation, I wrote the Battalion’s Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the operation and maintenance of this system. - Directly responsible for the professional development of five junior officers under my command, by providing direct mentorship in accordance to organizational guidelines.

- For three years I served as a Recruitment Advertising Officer, collaborating and working with civilians and Marines at different levels to ensure that the Marine Corps message was sent to the general public, making direct coordination with both national and regional advertising agency professionals. - I directly supervised eight Marine Public Affairs Representatives across a ten state region, to ensure proper portrayal of the Marine Corps message, working hand in hand with the unit contract specialist to ensure that all applicable financial laws and codes were not violated while purchasing advertisements with government funds. - As a District Advertising Officer, each year I developed and executed an advertising campaign to be used by the District’s 450 recruiters across a ten state area. In order to develop this plan I took higher headquarters and my Commanding Officer’s intent and drafted it into an easy to understand document maximizing the use of all advertising resources available to a recruiter. - Coordinated with the District Advertising Representative to develop an annual budget signed off by the Commanding Officer, to ensure that advertising was used in an effective manner to assist the District in achieving its annual mission. - Successfully developed and implemented innovative methods to manage a modest advertising budget and balance with organizational goals to recruit skilled candidates. My budget was $1,500,000 and I resourcefully conducted critical outreach to procure community support and gain additional advertising resources. The impact of my work, supported organizational standards, increased leads by 30%, identifying 53,000 well qualified candidates for recruitment.

- Trained and mentored the Battery Liaison Section comprised of 10 Marines, ensuring their welfare, readiness, and training of the Marines in the section.- Developed and implemented the Battery Training Plan (near and long range plan) as the Battery prepared for an upcoming 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit deployment. The Battery successfully deployed to Japan with all training objectives met. - Successfully conducted 5/11 Battalion Fire Exercise as the Battery Liaison Officer, while integrating with the Battalion Liaison section, resulting in several hundred rounds of artillery fired safely and accurately.- Served as the Range Safety Officer for a Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) live fire exercise, safely observing over 500 Artillery Rounds, 600 Mortar Rounds, and over 75 Close Air Support Missions. - Taught and supervised the students of the TACP Class (2-08) the Artillery Call for Fire procedures.- Successfully conducted Weapons Training Instruction (WTI) 2-08 as the Battery Liaison Officer, integrating artillery fires with Close Air Support training, resulting in 700 rounds of artillery fired safely and accurately.

- Assisted in the development of a two-week training plan in fire support Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures to prepare all Battalion Fire Support Teams for live fire operations.- Served as the Battalion Assistant Fire Support Coordinator in the "B" command element during Operation Mojave Viper and assisted in the planning, deconfliction, coordination and execution of Battalion fire support in conventional and urban environments. Effectively created, developed and distributed Information Operation command themes and messages in support of successful Battalion Counter Insurgency training.- Effectively coordinated employment of information assets, to include a Psychological Operations Team and Combat Correspondent, while serving as Information Operation Officer in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 6-08.- Participated in over 75 Combat Patrols, and served as Assistant Convoy Commander on 25 of them, to interact with government and community leaders as the Task Force Information Operations Officer.- Supervised the creation and implementation of the Battalion's Information Operations plan through distribution of 20 different sound messages and over 30,000 individual products in accordance with guidance from the Task Force Commander and higher headquarters.- Supervised the infusion of Information Operations messages and themes into the local community to support Iraqi Security Forces recruiting, assisted in High Value Individual targeting and improve relations between the people and the local government.- Supervised the employment of the attached Tactical Psychological Operations Team on 4 Battalion-sized operations, 40 company-sized operations and 2 quick-response missions. One mission contributed to the destruction of a Task Force High Value Individual.- Successfully coordinated media visits with seven journalists from Fox News, CBS News, and Time Magazine in order to tell the Task Force's story.

- Successfully contributed to the management and operation of the Regimental Combat Team's (RCT) Information Operations plan in accordance with the guidance from higher headquarters.- Created and produced information operations products in support of RCT operations to include Iraqi Security Force (ISF) recruiting drives and battalion level operations within the city of Al Fallujah and the surrounding area.- Provided dedicated forward observer support to the Police Transition Teams (PTT) as they operated throughout the RCT's area of operations.- Supervised the staff and facilities required to produce the thousands of Information Operations products required to support ongoing operations.- Managed the allocation, supervision, and performance of the linguist assets assigned to the RCT.- Assisted in the operation of the ISF recruiting centers within the city of Fallujah and surrounding areas during the recruiting drives.

- As the Guns Platoon Commander, I successfully led, supervised and mentored the 60+ Marines in the platoon through numerous field training exercises and the transition from the M198 Medium Towed howitzer to the M777 Lightweight howitzer.- As the Armory Officer, I maintained strict accountability of all serialized gear (valued at over $20,000,000), supervising the maintenance of all equipment and ensured that all weapons were properly assigned utilizing the NAVMC 10520 ordnance custody receipt.- Participated in numerous field exercises to include the Regimental Desert Firing Exercise (DESFIREX), a Revised Combined Arms exercise (RCAX), Mojave Viper 03-06 and a Marine Corps Combat Readiness Evaluation (MCCRE) in support of 3d Battalion, 5th Marines.- Developed a complete and detailed working knowledge of hasty astronomical techniques which enhanced the battery's ability to execute its assigned artillery tasks in a timely and accurate manner.- Supervised the professional development of 5 Corporal section chiefs, a Staff Non-Commissioned Officer billet.
