In what seems like yesterday, I co-wrote the first soup-to-nuts Bluetooth software stack at Apple — key contributions included hardware drivers (USB), the Bluetooth Host Controller interface, a user-space framework or two, several libraries (API, SPI), the OBEX Session Protocol, various GUI components, and background daemons.I have had the honor of speaking on Bluetooth topics at the annual World Wide Developer Conference on several occasions.Software languages used during my tenure have included C, C++, Embedded C++, Objective-C, among others.

Authored and marketed a variety of "shareware" software projects: Media Rage/MP3 Rage, Web Devil, FlavorSavers, BioAssistant, Mac Army Knife, Fridge Magnets, Video Funhouse, and many others.We used C, C++, macOS ToolBox, and Metrowerks CodeWarrior+PowerPlant in the 90s, and then later switched to Apple's XCode, Objective-C, and Cocoa frameworks in the 00s.

Participated in a cross-functional product development team to deliver software for the ABI PRISM 7700 Sequence Detection System, and the 6700 Automated Nucleic Acid Workstation. These systems featured GUIs written in C and Java.

We were on the frontier of combining fax technology with floppy disks. Strange bedfellows it seems on the surface; yet oddly alluring as we tried to replace the Fedex man, who was nightly hand carrying floppy disks across the United States for an arm and a leg.
