2024 finds me in a good place. A strong presence in the mobile physiotherapy and osteopathy field with The Flying Physios. The same talented team members have also been flying the flag for The Film Physios having just come off the back of two major international feature films. But how did it get here? Well it al began.......As a child I grew up next to an ambulance station, watching the crews by day and the blue light emergencies by night. I was also obsessed with the old Australian soap called The Flying Doctors. Both played a role in influencing my future pursuits alongside some good old fashioned nature and nurture thanks to an amazing mother whose caring soul was transferred in part through osmosis and in part through guidance; I was shown the IMPORTANCE of helping other folks and found my happy place was being around people. Fast forward MANY years and I have crossed off a bucket list of vocations, from front of house roles, English language tuition to foreign students, to being an LTA qualified tennis coach at a very prestigious school (Eton) and academy (Bisham Abbey) before finding my forever vocation in 2008, all people centered, all goal driven, all collaborative. In 2012 The Flying Physios was born, providing mobile physiotherapy and massage with the small team I assembled. Since then it has blossomed and survived Covid unlike some of my competitors. 2012 also saw us begin to integrate into the film and television industry- The Film Physios. The combined businesses enabled the two identities to remain buoyant and to provide an interesting mix of private practice patients outside and inside of the media industry for my team. 2018 saw me enrol as a part time mature student of osteopathy whilst remaining a full time business owner but more importantly a husband and a father. Life was busy and became busier. Returning to education was never a vanity project and instead was a financial and business move. Now at nearly 50 and upon reflection of my past pursuits I can say 2 things. Firstly that I still contain the same drive and fire in my belly that got me through life up to this point; and secondly, I DID IT! I qualified as an Osteopath alongside all my other therapy pursuits. 2023 sees our team delivering home visit and community physiotherapy and osteopathy alongside busy clinics. It also sees us expanding our services within the world of media having just completed to very large scale film productions. Life is good. Thank you reading about me.
