I am an electrical engineer presently designing substation protection and controls, but I have over twenty years of experience in various kinds of control design. It is important to me to have knowledge of various aspects of the design, including electrical, communications, SCADA, and relays. I get a great deal of enjoyment from mentoring younger engineers.My substation experience includes AC and DC schematics, relay selection, control panel design, network design, wiring diagrams, and other related tasks. I am also very familiar with motor and pump control including a great deal of water and wastewater experience. I have experience with system startup and commissioning, I am familiar with the National Electrical Code and UL508A. I have provided technical leadership and/or project management for automation and controls projects in excess of $1 million. I am a licensed professional engineer (PE) and Class A master electrician in the state of Minnesota.
