Worked as part of a team to deliver subject content and skills across a wide range of topics. These have included: Map skills; climate change; natural hazards; international development; fieldwork skills; ecosystems; UK landscapes; urbanisation; and contemporary conflicts. In short, a wide range of topics to a wide range of age groups. Through my teaching I worked closely with other staff to deliver an engaging and exciting programme that takes into account all levels of academic and social ability.As well as the day-to-day teaching, I had responsibility for Rewards across the Academy, putting systems and procedures in place to ensure that all students of all abilities are rewarded for their efforts. I was also the Academy’s Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Manager, running groups through both Bronze and Silver Awards at all stages of the award, including Expedition. Furthermore, I ran a small group of students undertaking the Bronze Award as part of the Academy’s Alternative Provision for vulnerable children, completing their Award during school hours.

I was responsible for the day-to-day management of the branch finances, working alongside our partners at Broadland Housing Group. My role required me to monitor costs and invoice relevant fees to the client. I was also responsible for monitoring spend and building relationships with our network of suppliers and subcontractors. In my time at Mears I revised and updated a number of processes, including establishing a practice for invoicing to the client which brought in upwards of £5m and reduced the debt status by approximately £1m.

Employed initially to perform the process of payment administration within a large department dealing with motor insurance repairs, I also assisted in the design and implementation of a new online payment system. After consistently performing above given targets and gaining in-depth knowledge of the motor repair process, as well as forming relationships with key suppliers, I was soon progressed to a newly formed supply management team. My role within the team was to maintain a database of customer issues against the insurance supply chain whilst working closely with supply chain managers to help improve performance.Whilst working across the motor, household and legal insurance sectors, I was able to utilise my knowledge of the claims experience to address supply issues from the point of view of the customer, the supplier and the company itself. I was often required to travel across the UK delivering presentations, engaging in key meetings with management staff, and organising and running customer service workshops within suppliers.
