I was a Partner and also an interim Head of West End office agency at GVA Grimley shortly before the partnership acquired Saxon Law and the agency team subsequently became GVA Saxon Law (then www.gva.com and subsequently www.avinsonyoung.com ). I worked very hard to establish GVA Saxon Law as a Top 5 Agency "player" alongside some excellent colleagues including Nick McCalmont Woods, James Fairweather, Patrick O'Keeffe, Maxim Vane Percy, Andrew Lax, John Kevil, Peter Shaw, Richard Pope, Chris Gillum, Rupert Mitchel, Ross Cornet, Eleanor Aldwinkle, Paul Brewster, James Haigh Lumby, , Mark Bateman and Rob Bould (now CEO). I was formally trained and grounded in all aspects of professional and agency practice from letting and acquiring commercial property to undertaking rent reviews, lease renewals, valuations and managing buildings. My mentors were Richard Sugarman and Rhell Butler. They were excellent to me. Butler Richards continues to thrive.
