It combined gamification concepts with an incentivized learning rewards model powered by an adaptive learning AI. It would have served the blockchain /crypto industry by helping define the true CAC (customer acquisition cost) and economic impact of adding a new user to a cryptocurrency economy while providing transparency around the user journey and use of funds. We were building a crypto or blockchain user onboarding service that helped everyday people grasp cryptocurrency concepts by using a hybrid of microlearning and gamification similar to the way the app Duolingo teaches foreign languages. We were creating a more powerful and transparent alternative to the Coinbase/Earn program to give a voice to more projects, tokens, and emergent cryptocurrencies. As a first-time CEO / Founder I tried to do everything and wear all the hats with minimal funding and this venture taught me the value of pivoting from market feedback and almost every Founder's Dilemma lesson in Noam Wasserman's must-read book.

Well into the twilight of the startup's life, I came on as CMO and was tasked with consolidating the scope of the companies mission and message while simultaneously helping the CEO acquire additional funding to build our product MVP. Research lead me to conclude that crypto education itself was the real opportunity so I founded First Contact Crypto to pursue this hypothesis. -

Unfortunately, I was also underqualified for this role at the time having little managerial and CEO leadership experience. The entire software development team rapidly left and although I tried to pivot the dashboard technology to be a niche social marketing tool to help law firms discover and post compliant content we ultimately failed. The technology stack and integrations with those social media platforms were not scalable and the Southwest Florida market focus proved to be far too small to meet the investor's expectations. -
