I take great pleasure in exploring the relationships between numbers and then translating the data into stories for others. These stories create actionable strategies and solutions that can be a key part of success in our age of Big Data. Since there are so many interesting questions and applications in data, as a 'numbers person', I wish to pursue a career as a data scientist to explore the depths of this inexhaustible discipline and get answers to curious problems. In my current role as a Data and Analytics Specialist at Claremont Graduate University, I work with large amounts of data, facts, and figures with data transformation processes via Excel. I am also responsible for translating my data into understandable visualizations for others to comprehend with Power BI, and Tableau. Currently, I am also a student in Information Systems and Technology and concentrated in Data Science. I have already got a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Master’s degree in Mathematical Sciences. The significant education has equipped me with critical, technical, and creative abilities enabling me to thrive in the fast-paced environment nowadays.Previously, as the Machine Learning Engineering Intern in 2020, I have excelled at designing and developing object detection system. By implementing several machine learning and deep learning algorithms, the team led by me has created the first detection system in the company. We were able to analyze the information in videos on roads and use the data as the foundation of the smart city IoT program. The practical experience expanded my know-how in real-world applications and had an in-depth understanding of the internet of things (IoT) and computer vision.Moreover, I completed an internship as a Data Analyst Intern in 2019, where I was responsible for analyzing data and developing machine learning models to drive optimization and improvements of the artificial intelligence decision-making system via Python and Excel. I learned valuable critical thinking and problem-solving skills that would make me a greater programmer. For my Master’s thesis, I study natural language processing and put emphasis on Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT). The main focus of the thesis is to produce the best representations of the time-series numerical data with attention mechanism. Besides, in my publications, I have studied baseball statistics with deep learning and machine learning models. Players’ performance data are predicted by new models and compared with the traditional projection system.
