I'm a lifelong aviation enthusiast and professional helicopter pilot. I began my career in the U.S. Navy flying fixed and rotary wing aircraft. Following my military service, I transitioned into the private sector flying EMS. Since 2020, I've had the privilege of serving as a line pilot on the Nightingale Flight Team in Norfolk, Virginia. I’m originally from Northern Virginia but have called Hampton Roads home since 2011. I currently live in Chesapeake with my wife Tina, our two boys Ethan & Colin, and our dog Seamus.   In this role, I serve as pilot in command of the EC-145 helicopter for Metro Aviation at Nightingale, a service of Sentara Healthcare. From her home base at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, Nightingale flies a 125-mile radius handling trauma, cardiac, neurological, medical, pediatric and obstetric patients. From Washington, D.C. to Ocracoke Island, the Eastern Shore to Charlottesville, Nightingale flies more than 850 missions per year. KEY CONTRIBUTIONS✅ Provide rapid air transport of the critically ill or injured, transporting patients from the scene of an accident, or from one medical facility to another✅ 1,002 medevac missions successfully flown ✅ Flight safety: 0 career accidents or incidents✅ Flight discipline: 0 career flight violations✅ Single-pilot IFR (SPIFR) qualified including helicopter special instrument approach (PinS) procedures to hospital helipads and designated landing zones
