During my tenure at Red Hat, I had multiple roles including community director, community architect, community manager, project manager, content curator, contributor, and website product owner. I would curate, review, and edit contributed content from our community of authors around the world and contribute original articles when needed.I was often found at open source conferences across the United States sharing my experience and growing the communities I worked with. I would often speak at conferences and organize meet-ups for the community members to attend, or for the curious to learn more.I have designed and managed programs to build communities of volunteer contributors on Opensource.com including the Opensource.com community moderator program, the Open Organization Ambassadors program, and the Open Source DevOps Team.I was responsible for the care and feeding of four major web properties and as a product owner, was responsible for collecting user feedback, reviewing and approving design specs, conduct sprint planning, perform QA, and share our progress, updates, features, and integrations with all stakeholders.I volunteered for more than 10 years in the civic tech and open government movement through Code for America and was a brigade captain for the Open Raleigh Brigade since 2011 and co-chair of NC Open Pass starting in 2016.
