I believe health care is one of the most important and backwards industries in America, and I am dedicating all my energy and ability to making it better. We have created a system that revolves around the wrong stakeholders (not the patients), rewards the wrong actions (volume not value), and accumulates wealth for the wrong stakeholders (lots of intermediaries). True incentive alignment for value-based care with transparent and supportive partnerships across diverse industry stakeholders is the way forward. It's really hard, but not impossible, and takes passionate leadership + partnership mindset + expertise with humility + grit. I hope to contribute.My main platform for impact is through a broad executive leadership role at a large payer with significant regional market share, where my role is focused on driving affordability by transforming care delivery through new partnerships with providers and innovators to expand value-based payment models and provide the right tools and collaboration approaches for sustainable success.
