I leverage market knowledge, data trends and compression analysis to drive revenue growth through managing the transient inventory, rates and restrictions for a portfolio of hotels.

My job involved catering sales, event planning and conference services, all in one. I made sales calls, attended networking events and informed potential clients, inside and outside of the Gainesville area, about all that we have to offer. In my first year, I booked events with 57 businesses, small and large, that our venue had never worked with before.I handled all the planning, wrote the Banquet Event Orders, designed floor plans for the rooms, and worked with the banquet and kitchen staff in the setup and preparation. I was also a point of contact while the groups and events were happening, and assisted the Banquet Captain as needed. Having been the Banquet Captain before transitioning into sales, I knew how to set up an event to succeed.Whether corporate events, conferences, weddings, Bar/Bat/B'Nai Mitzvahs, and beyond, I loved to plan and realize the perfect event for my clients.

I had a volunteer network of over 700 individuals who served annually, and more than 250 who served on a weekly basis. I was the liaison for 71 Ministries, and recruited and appointed volunteers to run most of them, while offering support, advice and serving as their liaison. Finding talent, and ways that people could use their specializations, skills and passions to help us succeed, was my job. When you ask people to live their passions, the results are simply amazing!

Started as a part-time Front Desk Agent, promoted to Front Desk Supervisor in December 2003 and Front Office Manager in May 2004.Above all, I helped build a team which delivered on exceptional customer service. We were top 10 in the nation among full service Hiltons in 8 different matrices related to Front Office service. With our employee base being college students, our average length of employment was just over a year, but I maintained the highest level of service by introducing my staff to the culture of exceptionalism.I hired, trained and managed the Front Desk Agents, Bell Staff, Valets, Receptionists, Night Auditors and Front Desk Supervisors. My job also entailed many accounting tasks including being responsible for all tax exempt revenue and backup, invoicing HHonors Reward stays and settlements, reviewing and balancing the daily report including Micros.
