While at IPG was tasked with guaranteeing product quality and working on solutions for companies such as Northrop Grumman, Solta Medical, Control Micro Systems and the US Air Force. These tasks have included designing low cost long term data logging and testing with automated equipment, with extremely short lead times of 24 hours in some cases. Thinking outside the box and with future expandability in mind led to most of the equipment becoming utilized for daily use throughout the company, even after the original task was completed.Working at EBTEC I am involved at all levels of maintenance from EDM, fiber and YAG lasers, VTLs up to 64”, Vertical machining centers, abrasive water jet 5 axis machines, electron beam welding, Trak and Bridgeport mills, thermal coating plasma and HVOF, vacuum heat treat, control repairs, motion table setup, facility building maintenance at all levels including HVAC. Hands on repair of company owned equipment with the goal of keeping repairs for all equipment in-house to control costs while maintaining machinery at the highest level possible. Work with vendors to drive costs down and place emphasis on local suppliers when possible.
