CurrentPlans and directs a comprehensive citywide transit program involving service planning, grant management, and capital improvement projects. Advisory to City Council and administration on transit matters including federal and state transportation regulations.——Bus Stop Improvements - completed citywide upgrade of passenger amenities. 200 new benches, 30 shelters, and 90 trash receptacles. EV fleet - secured order for City’s first BEBs as part of CARB ICT Regulation to transition fleet to zero-emissions technologies. Long Beach Transit - led partnership efforts in forming $5.3M interagency agreement for fixed-route service. Expansion of Dial-A-Ride – provided subsidized taxi services to all city residents, no-cost roundtrip service to LA County COVID-19 vaccination centers.Lyft – designed program specs and led partnership efforts in forming a multi-year agreement to subsidize on-demand ride hail service for residents and commuters.Comprehensive Operations Analysis – served as lead point in completing the City’s first fixed-route bus study. Recovery of funds – identified and spearheaded the City’s full recovery of over $95,000 in unauthorized billed hours.
