I have worked in the field of land surveying since 1995. I started off my career working for a small family owned surveying firm where I learned the "nuts and bolts" of land surveying from both the conventional and GPS methods. !n 1998, I joined Woolpert out of the Dayton, Ohio office. There, I was exposed to many more facets of surveying. I worked on many photo control jobs ranging from large USGS project areas to small aerial photo jobs all over the country. I also was exposed to utility locating during this time and worked on some projects where utility designation was used to produce mapping of underground utilities.In 2003, I was began to work on the Air Forces CITS (Combat Information Transport System) for Woolpert, where I gained my knowledge base for locating fiber optics. Thus began the SUE phase of my career.In 2007, I transferred to the Orlando, FL office of Woolpert. I continued working primarily on Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing jobs and further developed my skills in the SUE field. In late 2011 and early 2012, I transitioned into a project phase manager position in Woolpert's Chesapeake, VA office. I have welcomed the opportunity and challenge of exiting the field side of surveying and SUE and entering the office and management role.In the future, I look forward to continuing to broaden my horizons in the Geospatial Industry. I hope to not only learn new things, but bring the people I work with up to speed with the knowledge I have.Specialties: Aerial Photography and LiDAR Ground Control, Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) surveying and just about anything GPS
