Greenwood Village, Colorado, United States

Client - Delek LogisticsServed as a project engineer for the preliminary design of a 23 mile, 20” crude oil pipeline. I worked with the project scheduler and cost estimator to ensure tasks were completed on time and budget. I worked on the design and layout of the traps and connections to existing facilities. I was the lead for material procurement of pipeline fittings and I reviewed pipeline routing and alignments and did preliminary HDD designs for two interstate 20 crossings. I was the lead on pipeline permitting and requirements.Client - Delek LogisticsServed as a project engineer for the design and installation of 17 LACT connections in Delek’s Big Spring, Texas area. The pipelines ranged from ¼ mile to 11 miles and from 4” to 8” in diameter. These included detail design of the LACT units and pipeline tie-in locations, horizontal directional drill design for water and road crossings, and review of pipeline alignment sheets. I also was the lead in material procurement along with contractor scope of work and construction bid analysis.

Client - Enbridge PipelinesServed as a project engineer for the design of a 20,000 bpd truck unloading addition to a facility in North Dakota. The design included blending of sour and high vapor pressure crude oil (13.7 rvp) directly in a manifold without the addition of pumps or tanks. I developed the P&IDs and worked on the facility layout and material specifications for the mechanical equipment.Served as a project engineer for the engineering and design of an 8” crude oil line pipe replacement in North Dakota. I worked on the design and material procurement to shift the line away from another line that had been installed too close. I was in charge of procurement including induction bends, stopples, and pipe. I developed a hydrostatic test plan in addition to drain up locations. I worked with a survey team to as-built the new alignment of the line.Served as a project engineer on for the decommissioning of Enbridge’s Rail facility. I worked with the client to determine drain-up locations and strategy, removal of equipment from operation and the necessary lock-out tag-out procedures. I helped coordinate the nitrogen blanket and inhibitor to be utilized on the system to prevent corrosion of pipe and materials.Client - Northern Natural GasServed as a project engineer for the design and construction to update a 16” 1939 natural gas pipeline in Nebraska. I worked on the design to add a launcher and receiver and make 6 existing block valve sites piggable by adding barred tees. I also worked on designing a liquid fall-out location along the line to remove water and other condensates that collect in low spots.

I have worked the different varsity athletic events at Colorado School of Mines for the lat four years doing a variety of tasks depending on the event. This includes set-up and clean-up after the different events. I have also been in charge of both selling and taking tickets to basketball, volleyball and football games. I have worked as security and the last two years I have been asked to supervise the other workers to make sure everything is completed appropriately.

The group is the Thermodynamic Research Center. In this we collect and analyze thermodynamic data for different chemical compounds, typically hydrocarbons. The data we collect has been published in a multitude of scientific journals by research scientists conducting the experiments. The data analysis we do is to compare trends in the data and to validate the data with other experimental determinations published on the compound.

I volunteered for Share Colorado at both the main warehouse in Colorado Springs and two different host sites. At the host sites I would help set up before opening and cleanup after they closed. I would also help load up the boxes of food and carry them to the vehicle of the purchaser. At the warehouse I would assist the individual host sites collect the necessary food that they would be distributing.
