Our team focuses on using DevOps techniques and concepts to bring automation to Data Engineering and Data Science. Our team has built our platform from the ground up leveraging Gitlab, CI/CD, Python, Spark, Docker and Hadoop- Leverage Project and CI/CD Templates to streamline development and deployment of Data Pipelines and Data Science Machine Learning models.- Created the standard for development of Data Science and Data Engineering projects, and lead by example by publishing what is called the "Graduation Process"- Worked with Enterprise Architecture to adopt Docker Containers as the base for machine learning model development- Implemented new idea submission process to organize and execute data needs from across the organization- Since 2018 helped COUNTRY deploy over 20 different machine learning models that have an ROI of over $3 million.

My role is to work on the hardest problems within the organization and to provide leadership and guidance to the many Business Intelligence Analysts across the company. - Post several blogs on the company's internal SharePoint site to help evangelize more sophisticated techniques and skills. Blog subjects include: "Machine Learning Classification", "Tool I Use the Most: SQL", and "Hadoop: First Use Case".- Developed a classification model using Random Forests to predict potential hiring candidates that would not be successful in a sales oriented role. - Created a Random Forest regression model to predict agent failure rates that was used in an optimization model using linear programming. - Completed retention analysis for our customers using Logistic Regression. The retention probabilities are used as the base of a Customer Lifetime Value model. - Developed several MapReduce jobs to help wrangle a dataset with over 300 million rows of data. - Wrote a python script to generate a 5000 line SQL script to help produce a dataset for a predictive model problem. - Using the JavaScript visualization library D3, created a Life Insurance Needs calculator that is highly interactive and allows the customer to visualize the shortfalls in their insurance planning. - Help setup a dedicated data science server on the cloud platform Microsoft Azure.

As a Senior Black Belt my responsibilities were split between leading Lean Six Sigma projects and extensive data analysis.• Created staffing tools to help projects investigate appropriate staffing levels needed to exceed customer expectations. It has been used by over 10 projects and has generated over 10,000 lines of data activity timings for team members. It was used to publish a timings dashboard from the results.• Solved what is called the “Paths Problem” This problem was described by a team member as “The hardest problem he’s ever worked on”. The problem is that we lacked detail level data to understand the activity of a business unit, because over 40% of the data was summarized, with only clues to how the detail should have been captured. To solve the problem we split the problem into 2 sections to leverage team expertise. The first part was handled by a senior data analyst under my guidance. And the second part of the solution was handled by myself in python to match the agreed upon detail records• Delivered over 10 (and counting) advanced visualizations using Tableau• Provided guidance to 7 Black Belts and 5 Data Analysts• Facilitated 6 Yellow Belt classes (2 days each)

My job was to drive and maintain my section's mobile howitzer. My duties included daily preventive maintenance and learning detailed crew member duties. Once in position to fire on an enemy position, my job was to vacate the driving hatch and enter the rear of the howitzer to begin loading and firing the canon projectiles.
