• Assisted the Assignment Editors, Assignment Manager, and Managing Editor at the Assignment Desk.• An Assignment Editor is responsible for the coordination and planning of daily news coverage, including deciding what stories to cover, investigating said stories further, running crews, and managing reporters.• Field experience included following up stories in the various boroughs of New York City with WNBC crew members and personally interviewing subjects involved.• Additional digital media management experience included logging possible stories into the system,transcribing interview footage, and searching through old tapes for necessary video.
