The PAC’s annual revenue makes it the 7th largest state PAC in Kentucky.• Successfully negotiated cable television franchises, valued in the tens of millions of dollars, with nearly 100 cities and counties.• Lead and determine the strategic direction for various regulatory and litigation matters as President of the Kentucky Cable & Telecommunications Association, including two major pole attachment disputes at the Kentucky Public Service Commission and a legal challenge to Kentucky’s telecommunications tax statute.• Serve as President of the Indiana Cable & Telecommunications Association, providing strategic leadership to the Association and Board on various legislative issues.

Charged with creating, managing and implementing all public relations and local media relations initiatives for $3B Corporation. • Spearheaded project that aided in an 18% improvement in customer favorability (+11 favs, -7 unfavs) of the company, directly impacting operational effectiveness, customer retention and customer acquisition. Project included creation of television and online advertising, as well as garnering recognition from the cable industry’s leading trade magazine, CableFax, for its direct mail and social media efforts.• Revamped corporate communications practices, ensuring the company is equipped to communicate with customers through media in the company’s service area. As a result, earned prestigious Insight Communications “Executive Achievement Award” (2009).• Developed communications strategies leading to significant positive press coverage for major corporate initiatives such as the rollout of the cn|2 channel, the company’s upgrade to an all-digital platform which impacted all of the company’s customer base, and the Insight Business commercial services division.• Managed $3M External Affairs budget and assisted in building strategic goals for a division charged with government relations, local media relations, and driving public sector revenue growth for Insight’s commercial service and advertising units.

Promoted to position of Deputy Executive Director with a wide portfolio to oversee public and intergovernmental relations for Kentucky’s high-profile homeland security office. Had responsibility for $3M outreach budget and team of 2 direct reports. • Led the creation of a business preparedness campaign which equipped more than 300 businesses across Kentucky with emergency preparedness plans. • Launched a revamped and enhanced Citizens Corp program that engaged and prepared more than 2,000 Kentuckians for local emergencies. • Managed the state’s joint information center during emergencies such as a train derailment, HazMat situations and destructive tornados. • Provided leadership to establish the “Avoid This” family preparedness campaign which was highlighted through earned media, advertising, websites, trade shows, seminars, product literature and promotional materials.
