My PhD research involves creating new Artificial Intelligence models to predict river flows. Using ConvLSTM, CNN-LSTM, and more I hope to increase the lead time on flood prediction models.

As a teaching assistant for Data Structures, Object Oriented Programming, Game Development and Computer Graphics in tutorial, lab, and classroom settings I learned a great deal about education. As President of the club, I am expanding the club focus to include outdoor climbing. I have arranged for university sanctioned outdoor climbing to be possible, purchased and organized equipment to offer a free ‘gear library’ to members who do not own climbing gear, and have worked with industry professionals to obtain training for members.

In this volunteer position I was required to teach basic climbing safety skills, as well as climbing techniques. I was responsible for ensuring the safety and enjoyment of climbers. Here I also learned route setting techniques from experiences setters, and through designing and setting my own toprope and bouldering problems.

As a freelance wilderness guide I have lead and co-lead trips of all sorts. Everything from relaxing 3 day trips in Algonquin Park, to month long contracts instructing whitewater skills before embarking on remote multi-week adventures on the Bloodvein River. I have worked with a number of guides, outfitters, adventure companies, and summer camps. This means I have seen many different methods of running trips, and have learned skills from a wide range of sources.

Customers can be business executives, families, groups of students, visitors from other countries who don’t speak English, young children, and/or elderly. Teaching paddling skills to a wide range of skill levels. Both public and private lessons.Guiding scheduled weekly trips.

Repair and Build Computers, Setup Software(Windows, Office, Antivirus, Java, Remote Desktop etc.), Create Backups. Travel to sites to install computers/software and set up networks.
