The end result was previewed by C-level executives, and shown to a limited guest audience for feedback.

Joined the Shanghai Disneyland Task Force team to support the opening of new resort destination, leveraging a diverse skillset. This contributed to a successful grand opening in which all applications were operational.• Daily construction site walks to coordinate with creative and construction managers, to plan final installation schedule, and report outstanding punch list items.• Install hardware for a park wide digital signage solution, and develop a custom software solution to enhance the remote management of the hardware.• Advise local technology team to further enhance the performance of multi-node server configurations, while minimizing technical complexity.• Work with local and task force team members to identify, prioritize, and resolve any outstanding technical issues.• Knowledge transfer of a variety of technical topics with local teams so they can fully support applications on their own.

Next Generation Experience - Part of a small team that would conceptualize and prove out a variety of technologies used to realize a $1B transformational project that would become known as MyMagic+. This would create lasting changes throughout Disney Parks and the industry with a variety of game changing innovations to the guest experience.Built and supported multiple labs that would showcase how the guest experience would be transformed, and provided a medium in which executive leaders and operational managers could understand how everything worked together, through hands on demonstrations.Created and presented the final presentation of the original lab, that showcased the possibilities that are available to the business when all concepts in the lab are used together. This was created in collaboration with Senior Executive Leadership of the project, and provided an opportunity for me to interact directly with a wide variety of managers - from front line managers, all the way to C-level executives and the Board of Directors. This final element of the lab tour regularly spurred long engaging discussions, which key to gaining approval of this strategic project.Innovation - Explored how emerging technologies could be leveraged to improve the experience of both our guest and cast, by researching what is becoming available from the industry and creating various proof of concepts or pilots to prove them out. Implemented a variety of front-of-house and back-of-house applications for the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, leveraging applications used in the domestic US locations, and implemented on site. Partnered with application owners, to plan how they would be installed and supported in a new location, while also incorporating modifications needed to accommodate requirements specific to the Hong Kong SAR. Regular travel, and working at shifted business hours was common over the project, in order to coordinate between teams that were split across a 12 hour time zone difference. Upon completion of project work, transitioned to a task force assignment to provide on site support of the systems, and resort wide activities during the final two months before opening.

Global Directory and Email Transformation -Worked with a team to plan and execute on a migration plan to move over 20,000 user mailboxes from a Lotus CC:Mail environment, to Microsoft Exchange 5.5 over multiple months, while maintaining connectivity between systems and no downtime for users.Participated in discussions with technology leaders across the company to architect how all email and directory systems could be merged together. Led of a team of senior technology architects who owned email services for their respective segments across the company. Created and executed a plan to merge a variety of individual Exchange 5.5 environments together, and create common standards going forward. .NET Application Architecture Standards - Worked with a team of architects to define standards for building .NET based windows applications, and how developers would migrate to this from a legacy Powerbuilder environment.

Developer Support -PC/LAN support for application developers that were using NeXTSTEP 3.3 and Windows NT 3.51, by handling all installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of their workstation, OS, and applications.Application Load/Stress Testing -Using a variety of toolkits, created a repeatable process to load test applications built on a variety of application architectures. Simulations from 500-1000 simultaneous users provided key data to developers and database administrators to tune their applications and scale hardware appropriately to ensure success once deployed. This involved working closely with developers to understand how applications were intended to work, and providing insights to where optimizations could be made.
