Next Generation Experience - Part of a small team that would conceptualize and prove out a variety of technologies used to realize a $1B transformational project that would become known as MyMagic+. This would create lasting changes throughout Disney Parks and the industry with a variety of game changing innovations to the guest experience.Built and supported multiple labs that would showcase how the guest experience would be transformed, and provided a medium in which executive leaders and operational managers could understand how everything worked together, through hands on demonstrations.Created and presented the final presentation of the original lab, that showcased the possibilities that are available to the business when all concepts in the lab are used together. This was created in collaboration with Senior Executive Leadership of the project, and provided an opportunity for me to interact directly with a wide variety of managers - from front line managers, all the way to C-level executives and the Board of Directors. This final element of the lab tour regularly spurred long engaging discussions, which key to gaining approval of this strategic project.Innovation - Explored how emerging technologies could be leveraged to improve the experience of both our guest and cast, by researching what is becoming available from the industry and creating various proof of concepts or pilots to prove them out. Implemented a variety of front-of-house and back-of-house applications for the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, leveraging applications used in the domestic US locations, and implemented on site. Partnered with application owners, to plan how they would be installed and supported in a new location, while also incorporating modifications needed to accommodate requirements specific to the Hong Kong SAR. Regular travel, and working at shifted business hours was common over the project, in order to coordinate between teams that were split across a 12 hour time zone difference. Upon completion of project work, transitioned to a task force assignment to provide on site support of the systems, and resort wide activities during the final two months before opening.
